Re: 2015 EHEC Draft Discussion Thread
has nothing to do with waiting for the best offer - the offer was on the table and they were deciding. Not me. after that others made some offers I looked at.
Slow down with the change things bud. I've been here a long time and I think this is the longest i've taken. Ever. I've waited on others and yes it's frustrating
The time is given so we can do the deals and such. Otherwise - let's all get together in Vegas and do it on a weekend.

Some people live in different timezone. It is just fair enough to let them have time when their turn comes up to talk trade.
Why rush people who so far, have been active, good to the league and entertain us all with trade talks and offers?

Re: 2015 EHEC Draft Discussion Thread
Until we do an IM thing or do the equivalent of "getting everyone in Vegas" the time limits will stand. Maybe they'll be reduced next year, maybe not. It's worth discussing, sure, but not going to change it now.
Plus, we've got the draft, then contracts and free agency, then...nothing until September.
Besides, Bern, I thought you always traded all your picks anyway?

1h is no rush. I know Chris has been with us forever and has been great, sorry if I offended you, I just feel its too long. In real life its on the spot. Yes not everyone is online because of different time zones, but we're 20 online right now.

What's pretty cool is that it's the 2nd round and between guys online, one who sent a list, and one absentee-we're-picking-for, right now we've got through pick 42 covered.
Or just trade them all to me and things would go VERY fast...

Re: 2015 EHEC Draft Discussion Thread
I'm with Pat re: time limits. This is a hobby. Guys work to provide for their families or have other obligations. It's not like we're all together in real time. It takes time to get answers for trade talks. One hour is ridiculously low. 12 hours might be a little bit high, but guys do the best they can to get to it quickly. How many times since we started with the 2010 NHL Draft have we had to skip somebody due to time limits? I'd say it's probably less than 10 times, at least for the early rounds.

I fell asleep on my keyboard, and I've just woken from a dream in which I would receive an email every time a pick was announced. That gave me so much extra time to do activities!

Re: 2015 EHEC Draft Discussion Thread
I am all for taking the time to analyze and do all the right things before drafting, but I wish people would keep everybody updated on what's going on.
Re: 2015 EHEC Draft Discussion Thread
Hey ... what are you talking about? It took me about 55 seconds to post my pick.

I'd like to inform you guys that my brother (ARZ) is at work, therefore his pick will not be made before noon, during his lunch time.
As for the other selections he owns in the 2nd round, he's going to adress them later today, after 4 PM eastern.
So have a nice day yall, and keep it up!

As LeBron and several EHEC general managers have done before me, I will take some time before announcing my decision. Picks 48 and 49 (or a Luongo trade) will be unveiled around 8 pm Eastern.
