Roope Hintz's career

2013-14 Ilves Tampere FIN 7 0 0 0 2 -1
2014-15 Ilves Tampere FIN 42 5 12 17 10 8

Scouting notes:

Roope Hintz is an all-around foward. He has a good vision and an outstanding stickhandling ability. He got a decent positioning and can puts some hits when needed, but he won't do it often even with his 6'2'' size. He is a good skater with already some leadership ability. On the middle, he is a decent faceoff man. He is a durable skater and isn't often injured.Roope will probably start the next year with Ilves Tampere next year. He should be a top 9 foward in the future.

Ryan Gropp, LW/RW, 55th overall

2013-14 Seattle Thunderbirds WHL 59 18 24 42 22 -5
2014-15 Seattle Thunderbirds WHL 67 30 28 58 44 9

Scouting notes:

Ryan is a Power foward winger. He has a good shot, decent playmaking ability and good stickhandling. With his 6'2'' size, he loves to throw some great bodycheck to take the puck from his opponents. He is good on checking and have a decent positionning on the ice. Even if he is a power foward, Gropp won't go often in the penality box. He will have to work on being constant, but this is almost the only point to work on his game. He will probably start the year with our farm club. He should be a top 9 forward in the future.

Denis Guryanov, LW/RW, 60th overall

Denis is a Sniper. He can scores from everywhere on the ice. He is Russian but he told our scout he wants to play in the NHL in the future. He has also a great positionning and he is a very good skater. The fact that he has a good hitting ability is a plus for his style of play. Like Roope Hintz, he is not often injured and is constant for a Russian guy. He will play in the KHL next year with Lada Togliatti. He should be a top 9 foward in the future.

Scouting notes:

The scouting staff was suprised to see that Wotherspoon was still available at the 84th pick. We didn't hesite to pick him. Parker is a defensive d-man. Parker has a decent shot, a good vision and a really good stickhandling ability. In his zone, Wotherspoon is always well poisitiong to make the defensive play. Ethan is an offensive d-man. He will have one of the biggest shots in this league for a d-man. He has a great first pass. In his zone, he will be below the average d-man, but won't be too bad. Can hit when it's the time too. He has to work to be constant in his game. He is a really good skater too. He will play an other year in the WHL next year with the Seattle Thunderbirds .
