Re: October 22, 2015
They were already at 22 skaters (Anthony Stewart counts) but the promotion put them over the cap (Stewart wasn't out long enough for LTIR relief). Maybe we should go with their salaries less Chucko for today (even though he was also in the lines) since it wasn't Lubos that put them over?Commish Bub(NYR) wrote:NAS recalls Kris Chucko to get to 22 players; he'll be exempt from waivers if you demote him within a week.

Not a fan of calling up the best rated player from the AHL even more so if that guy is exempt from waivers after.
We should either:
a) be calling up non-eligible players
b) call up the best player but with no exemption to waivers when/if sent back down
c) call up the worst player with the week exemption
First, we shouldn't be "helping" teams who failed to replace an injured guy.
Second, NSH is never going to call up anyone if we promote his best AHL player AND exempt him from waivers.
Let's not start a trend here.

Agreed; was trying to do it quickly.Calgary.Flames wrote:Let's not start a trend here.
And I thought Stewart's injury was 2 weeks? Okay then.
Re: October 22, 2015
Not blaming you, man.
Although we should probably have a protocol for when it happens.
I'd vote for the worst player being called up from the AHL and has to go through waivers when demoted.

Just the one but even if it was two, he'd still count towards the 22 based on the new rule.Commish Bub(NYR) wrote:And I thought Stewart's injury was 2 weeks? Okay then.

Yeah, the new rule is partly meant to avoid this sort of thing. Although if teams aren't carrying enough spares and don't call up a replacement after an injury, we'll still be forced to call someone up.Vik (Habs) wrote:Just the one but even if it was two, he'd still count towards the 22 based on the new rule.Commish Bub(NYR) wrote:And I thought Stewart's injury was 2 weeks?
