A bad night for the Flyers with a late third period choke job gets worse with the news that Wade Redden will be out for a couple of months at the stick of Georges Laraque. Phoenix continues rolling along while the Hurricanes drop a touchdown on the Devils. San Jose's PP carries them to a victory and Simeon Varlamov impersonates a sieve against the Blues. All of that and more from the Valentine's Day Eve sim. http://ehechockey.com/EHEC.zip

Kickass. Well, except for the part where my top 5-man unit managed to be on for every Buffalo goal. What the hell guys?

Wow, the games that my offense can score, my defense/goaltending can't stop anything. Was Varlamov even in net for the shootout? Semin also needs to stop taking ridiculous penalties, those two PPG's against were thanks to his penalties.

At least Morozov and Zherdev managed to secure a point, and hopefully Jokinen/Lundmark can consistently provide what they showed tonight against Anahiem...a very mediocre 2-2-2 record without AO, time for a serious regroup for after the Olympic break.

Lundmark definitely looked good in his last game before he heads over to Washington for you. A nice 6-0 win, good send off for those two players. Hopefully Poni can produce at least as well as Lundmark (don't see why he shouldn't). Either way, very happy with that 6-0 win. Looked like a night off was exactly what Kiprusoff needed after the last GM had him start every goddamn game of the season.

Yeah, hopefully Poni can get two goals before the end of the season. :D I'm surprised this was Lundmark's first game of the season, but there's a lot of guys that haven't been able to play much (or in Kipper's case, rest much) because of inactive GM's...i.e. Scott Niedermayer who's played 14 games and Alex Pietrangelo who didn't play a game until ~50 games in.

Laraque can go play in traffic, we'll take the road point all the same.
