You do? Where from? If you found all of the old saves in the oldsaves directory, then colour me impressed. I think we're still missing a few days there though.

Anyway, Vik, most of our numbers agree to within 50k except for WPG (67k off) and DAL (144k off). Can you check cap/DAL.txt and see where we differ?

I suspect it might be a day where players_cap.ehm wasn't updated and I didn't notice, or just the menace of LTIR.

Biggest difference comes from January 8th (Jay Bouwmeester trade). I didn't back that one out (I stopped trusting the players_cap file to be updated). Updated my numbers for that and things are closer.
There's also a 1M difference on January 10th from Justin demoting James Winkler to get them to 23 skaters (should be 50.982M, you've got 51.982M). And then a couple small differences on November 20th and 22nd that I didn't bother looking up.

Hmm ok, I'll have a look.

Note to self: Need to re-calculate Myers' LTIR for PHI tomorrow and remove it from BUF.

Is this right? I have no clue myself, but talking to Vik it looks like he has different numbers, giving me around $4,45M cap space.

Most of your space is because of LTIR relief which won't be factored in to the CAPSPACE column.

To be honest, I rarely browse outside of League Memos or The Chopping Block, so all this LTIR, MAXCAP and stuff goes right over my head at the moment. I'll look into it some time, but as long as it's confirmed to me that I can add around $4,45M right now is all I need to know.

That's your maximum allowable cap hit today.

If you look in the save file under cap/EDM.txt, you'll see lines for each day like this:

17 2 2018 66020000 1127000 11640000 48

... where the first three numbers are the date, then total salary, penalties, LTIR and contracts.

If you want to factor in your LTIR, caproom = 58868523 - (66020000 + 1127000 - 11640000) = 3361523

With the deadline coming up, added max allowables to the top of my post. Remember that it doesn't factor in LTIR.

kthx

I won't be able to upgrade my numbers again until Saturday. Anyway I don't think they disagree much anymore so go hog wild on trading and if there are any serious discrepancies after the deadline we'll sort them out peacefully.

not sure where the 850k comes from? He makes way more than that.. Hossa's salary is 5.52, McNeil's salary is 1.64, Jarnkrok makes 3.18

just wondering why it's 850k?

It's based on where you were at the first game after the injury. You were at 55.67M so it's 55.67 + 3.18 - 58 = 0.85M.

My calculations have me rather close to the cap,I'd like to confirm that I am under with the moves I made at the deadline, so can we get a cap update?

I update my post (2nd in the thread) after every sim (can check the bottom to see when it was last edited). I've got you about 900k under your max allowable.

No. We're discussing it in the offseason thread: https://www.ehechockey.com/forums/viewt ... f=7&t=8218

This may be a stupid question - but I have been heavy into Canada Day drinks...what is the official cap ceiling? I have been looking and cant find where it was stated the new cap would be when we adjusted it last off-season.

As well - is there any way I can find when my cap penalties end. I have close to 4 million this year and wondering what it will be next season.

Cheers.

It will be $60M.

Yours is entirely Shane Doan and runs through next season (numbers showing there are for this season that just concluded).

Gonna need some Cap Advice - especially since I can't seem to even move a 3M dollar player because everyone i've asked is up against the cap.
