Well, the Sabres have an uphill climb to catch their Northeastern counterparts Montreal and Ottawa as the Sens take a two point lead for the final playoff spot in the East. Wojtek Wolski plays his last game until next season after being knocked out indefinitely by Stephane Robidas. The Flames rout the Sharks to end their playoff hopes and give themselves a fighting chance at catching the Wild. With their shutout loss and Ottawa picking up a point, the Penguins are officially eliminated from the playoff hunt. Chicago's loss means any CBJ point or CHI loss and I clinch the Central Division. The Rangers, with a game in hand, look to have the Atlantic Division locked up with their win in Buffalo and Philly's road loss to the Leafs.

Wow, HUGE win after the letdown last night. Zherdev returns from the dead too. Four points up on Tampa for the division lead and I hold the final tiebreaker (goal differential, bearing I don't lose a game 19-0) so two more points can clinch...

EDIT: Never mind, less wins = I don't have the tiebreaker.

Sorry to hurt your chances, Nick, but I need to win the division. Plus I finished 6-0 on this road trip. Depending on these last two games vs. Philly, we'll likely meet in the first round. Talk about great scheduling...

Just a Perfect Night: Rangers win, Flyers lose, and the wife gets published.

On the bright side, since Jennifer's coming out to watch your kids tomorrow, we can go to the bar to celebrate my division win.

Uphill battle indeed, I'm going to need quite a bit of help getting in. Figures, every time I go to an actual Sabres game, I get my ass kicked here. It was a good game last night though.

How about that Southeast? I know Florida and Atlanta have really been bagged this year, but 3 teams with 50+ wins!

That's because they play Florida and Atlanta all the time!

Jesus, Doug Murray was -6. He might well have been on for every single Calgary goal.
