The final Saturday night of the EHEC season is a very busy and eventful one. The Kings get shutout again and lose Michal Handzus for the next 6 months thanks to Luke Schenn with just seconds left in overtime. Ottawa clinches their spot in the second season with a dominating win over Buffalo. Boston feels Andrej Meszaros's injury giving up 35 shots and 5 goals to Carolina. The Canucks finally win one with Cory Schneider in net.

The AHL playoff picture is also taking shape.

Rather than do the AHL's division format, we will go by conference.

Eastern Conference:
1 Springfield (EDM) v. 8 Hartford (NYR)
2 Albany (CAR) v. 7 Portland (BUF)
3 Adirondack (PHI) v. 6 Worcester (SJ)
4 Hershey (WSH) v. 5 Norfolk (TB)

Western Conference:
1 Milwaukee (NSH) v. 8 Bakersfield (ANA)
2 San Antonio (PHX) v. 7 Abbotsford (CGY)
3 Rockford (CHI) v. 6 Texas (DAL)
4 Manitoba (VAN) v. 5 Hamilton (MTL)

Fucking figures. I ran multiple test sims and won 3 straight with Legace in net, then this BS happens. Dammit all. Sadly enough, I was getting 1-0 finals from that EDM-LA game too.

Guess I'm going to live vicariously through Portland this season.

Uhh, Norfolk 5th? I'm not sure if its just my gamefile, but I have them 6th overall in the AHL.....only HAM, MIL, LOW, PHI and POR ahead.

100 points and an Art Ross for Thornton, but I'm pretty sure he'd trade it for 3 more points in the standings. 9th place is seriously the worst.

Oh well, they can all have a nice long summer to think about it.

I have them 6th too, but since only Milwaukee's the only West team in the top six, you're fifth in the East.

I just realized my affiliation is not the only one that is off.

Care to elaborate on that?

If you don't have the updated config_teams.ehm that we started with back in October, let me know and I will email it to you.

I know were all about realism here, but I'd love to see a 1-game playoff.

Points in the head-to-head series. Montreal won 4 of the 6 games, so they would be the #7 seed.
