We have been stuck in the mud since the Fowler injury. Jay Bo will hopefully stabilise the back-end while Heatley helps solidfy our top 6. There is some concern about attribute regression; both are short-term rentals and are unlikely to remain a Bolt in the future.

Middleton and Kosorenkov were my top two choices from the 2016 draft. While they have their weaknesses, they also will develop certain attributes that make them effective NHL players. Instead of having to trade away all my 2022 picks, I'm able to take advantage of my habit of finding deep value in the draft.

The option is required so I don't have to worry about getting stuck with Jay Bo's contract. In addition, it lowered the asking price from Buffalo as he seems to want him back after this season (with a Ring?).
