I accept. Don't own my pick next year, so figured I would at least push for a fringe playoff spot rather than tank er out with my current roster make up. Frolov was going UFA after next year with Hoffman just not developing as fast as I would of liked on a contract that I regret giving him. Add three top 9 pieces going forward that can hit a bit while maintaining cap flexibility and landing a bonafide #1/2 C for years to come. This draft is sure nice... but didn't want to gamble on a Nolan Patrick type talent falling to me at #9 and the other picks probably at best will be future similar players to Sherb and Boyle.

Yes we lost Patrick, Scherbak and Boyle.. But come to BUF 3 youngers from draft lotery ( 9, 21 and 22 ) , Frolov for 1 season and Hofmann.. Booth are ready to play in 3rd lines ( as Boyle or Scherbak )
