phpBB v3.3 upgrade

Post by SharksGM »

I have upgraded the forums to phpBB v3.3. You shouldn't notice anything in particular other than (hopefully) improved performance, but if you do, please mention it here.

Oh, and supposedly you can type emojis now, so 💪😺😸😹.

Having trouble deleting PMs. Get that the submitted form was invalid when using the check boxes. I have to go into the message to delete it.

This probleme is know by the phpbb team. They work on it.

there are two solutions.

Via the administration panel, make sure that older messages are deleted to make room for the new message.

Otherwise users have to go inside the message to delete it

I applied this fix and it seems to have worked. However, I have no real idea what any of it did or why, so it may end up breaking something else. We'll see!

Hmm. I'll look into it, but I'm not sure if I want to maintain yet another thing when we have discord available for basically no effort.
