Jonathon Merrill's career comes to an end after Zack Kassian shattered his knee in Sunday night's 3-1 Oilers win against Colorado.

Both players got tangled up in the corner, when Kassian savagely took Merrill down and applied a Figure Four Leg Lock on him that would make The Nature Boy proud. The 28 year old defenseman eventually tapped out, but the damage was done.

The Jonathon Merrill Bobblehead Giveaway Night, scheduled for next Tuesday, has been cancelled.
